This program will be interactive, presenting case studies and research questions of the students and young professionals.
Group work to solve the defined tasks, discuss the issues, and discuss case studies.
Objectives and Core Content of Summer and Winter School:
The Objectives of this summer school are to prepare students for enrollment in Master’s programs in Energy or Transportation and encourage students to pursue PhD research by introducing them to hydrogen technology and emerging research areas introductory lectures and basic knowledge, methods, and solutions of:
- Energy Transition Management
- Advanced Renewable Energy Technologies (including Hydrogen)
- Sustainable Transportation Systems
- Other concepts related to sustainability and climate change (open for suggestions)
The Summer School was held on-site in
Aktau, with the participation of 25 students from Yessenov University from 29
September to 10 October, 2025.

The program combined theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and laboratory sessions in cooperation with local
industries. It followed an interactive learning approach, featuring:
· Case studies and research questions from students and young professionals
· Group work for problem-solving and discussion
· Exchange of experiences and perspectives between participants and lecturers

We are trilled to share that we successfully concluded the Aktanten Summer Schol, 2025 with the presentation of certificates to the students, on 24th of October 2025.
AKTANTEN Summer School 2025 on Green Hydrogen and Energy Transition Successfully Held at Yessenov University.
The event was organized under the framework of the AKTANTEN in Aktau project, supported by partner universities TU Berlin, HAW Hamburg, and TU Darmstadt, in collaboration with professors from Westküste University of Applied Sciences, Poznan University of Technology, Henan University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. On October 24, 2025, Yessenov University hosted a certificate ceremony for the participants of the AKTANTEN Summer School 2025. The event was attended by Askar Abievich Seidaliyev, Vice President of Yessenov University, who personally congratulated the students on their successful completion of the program and highlighted the university’s commitment to developing international collaboration in sustainable energy education. Participants expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm, noting that the AKTANTEN Summer School was a unique opportunity to gain knowledge, connect with international experts, and work on real-world energy challenges. Many shared their excitement about continuing their journey in the upcoming AKTANTEN Winter School.
